JOB SUMMARY: Performs respiratory therapy and electrocardiography services per hospital policies. Duties include nebulizer treatments, lung expansion therapy, chest physiotherapy, suctioning, oxygen administration/titration, pulse oximetry, arterial blood gases, patient assessment, ventilator management, airway care, end tidal CO2 monitoring, extubations, CPAP/BiPAP, emergency airway support, code/trauma response, pulmonary rehabilitation, patient education, pulmonary testing, EKGs, documentation, billing, equipment cleaning, maintenance, troubleshooting, supply management, and safety testing.
QUALIFICATIONS: High School Diploma/GED; graduate of an AMA-accredited Respiratory Therapy program; Registered Respiratory Therapist (NBRC).
CERTIFICATIONS: ACLS, BLS, and PALS within 6 months of hire.
EXPERIENCE: Professional conduct; follows safety, infection control, universal precautions, and isolation protocols. Must lift up to 50 lbs.
